Amelia founded the Eurekas Theater Company at the Penasco Club, where she presented the plays “Pastorela” and “Numbers,” the latter of which she authored, addressing the importance of human rights. Amelia is known for her support of female writers and has inspired five girls to write their own stories. Her workshops have given children the opportunity to develop their artistic skills. At the same time, these workshops have taught them the essentials of collaboration and developing their own unique sense of creativity. These workshops have proven to be a safe space of empowerment for children where their opinions feel heard and valued. Through these workshops, Amelia has been able to increase confidence levels among young people and teach them the importance of mutual respect.
Amelia’s ability to inspire children to think beyond their usual limits, and her strong leadership with the Club de Niños y Niñas de San Luis Potosi, sets her apart. Amelia inspires youth to believe in themselves, fostering an environment of creativity and self-confidence. As a result of her guidance, many youth have succeeded not only in expressing their ideas through literature but have also developed unique characters and scenarios in theater. Amelia preaches to the youth that their voices are valuable and worthy of expression, resulting in significant personal and creative transformation for each child under her leadership. By encouraging each child that she encounters to dream big, she has made significant positive contributions to their personal growth.
