Charles Acquah Dadzie
Volunteer of the Year
Boys and Girls Clubs of Ghana, Ghana

Charles has been a dedicated volunteer since 2010, significantly impacting his community of Gomoa Dago. He has advocated for and inspired local youth and the community in many ways, including education, overcoming life challenges, health, and finance. He began his volunteer journey overseeing Education and Child Protection. He offered after-school, home-based learning and helped in the organization of campaigns for child education. He has served as an inspiration for the youth in the community, encouraging them to never give up on their ambitions.

Among other things, Charles has partnered with the Social Welfare Department to organize a Child Protection Program due to child abuse rates being high in the local community. In his efforts to increase youth interest in education, he volunteered in the Government School to teach integrated sciences. Consequently, he has boosted the interest many young people have in education. Apart from his role as a volunteer teacher, he supports the organization in planning, implementing, and evaluating activities and programs aimed at youth development. His positive effects on his community are plentiful, ranging from child protection and advocacy to sex education. He has served as a role model for youths in the community and members of the Boys and Girls Club of Ghana, while upholding his values of building trust through respect, team-oriented goals and victories, and dreaming big.
