Monica manages the Club de Niños y Niñas de Nuevo León A.B.P., overseeing everything from budget management to staff training. She is also tasked with the important role of protecting the organization’s assets against fraud or abuse. She organizes and conducts training sessions for staff and volunteers to ensure that everyone is well-prepared for their roles, promoting a safe and equitable work environment for all. She also plays an important role in community relations, working to establish and maintain relationships with the local community to foster collaboration and mutual support.

This recipient is committed to going above and beyond for her community. In 2019, she expanded the Club to serve an additional 250 children and adolescents through the intervention model at the La Fortaleza Cultural and Sports Center. For instance, when the devastating COVID-19 pandemic hit, she ensured that the club’s activities continued without disruption. She has also advocated for gender equality by developing policies and protections against sexual harassment. Due to her strong leadership, her club now offers exhaustive programs covering the rights and needs for nutrition, health, and education, all of which benefit youth and the staff. Her leadership and education have played an integral role in the Club’s success.
