Rick Goings, Chairman Emeritus Tupperware Brands, global humanitarian and philanthropic leader, considered it a fundamental component of his career to focus on women’s empowerment and children’s safety and development. An engaged member of the World Economic Forum for over a decade, Goings was positioned at the forefront of thought leadership in Davos on gender parity and the advancement of women. He was an inaugural Champion with the United Nations’ HeforShe women’s initiative and a founding member of their Leadership Advisory Council.
His worldwide work in the service of children has spanned three decades. While President of Avon, he joined the National Board of Governors for Boys & Girls Clubs of America, serving two separate terms as the organization’s Chairman. Goings then led the initiative to open Youth Clubs outside the U.S., co-founding World Youth Clubs with his wife, broadcaster, Susan Porcaro Goings. He currently serves as the organization’s Founding Chairman which has Affiliates in 48 countries representing over 3500 Youth Clubs, serving over 400,000 young people annually.
He was part of a select group of business leaders which convened at the Vatican with Pope Francis to enhance support for his global initiative. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Rollins College, a member of the Advisory Board of the Global Peter Drucker Forum, and is a 20-year member of Yale’s Chief Executive Leadership Institute.
Goings was recognized with the distinguished decree of "Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur", presented by the President of France. In 2024 he received the Medal for Distinguished Achievement from the American Society of the French Legion of Honor. He has also received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Direct Selling News, the prestigious Marco Polo Award bestowed by the People’s Republic of China, the Herbert Hoover Humanitarian Award by Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and the Holmes Group named Goings as CEO of the Year.
Goings, a U.S. Navy veteran, was educated at Guilford College and is the recipient of honorary doctorates from Rollins College and Bryant College. An avid horseman, Goings is a life-long physical fitness and Transcendental Meditation devotee.
