Jeshua Gonzalez, selected as Youth of the Year 2023 for Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico, proudly represents Puerto Rican children and youth. From an early age, Jeshua demonstrated adaptability and a keen ability to find learning opportunities amid adversity. The Boys & Girls Club of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez played a pivotal role in his life, encouraging Jeshua’s growth as both a student and a compassionate human being. Through tutorials, physical activities, post-secondary support programs, and emotional guidance, the Club provided a safe space where Jeshua could explore new things without fear of judgment.

As a leader, Jeshua is dedicated to promoting individual and collective improvement, advocating for a world that is more equitable, just, and filled with opportunities for other young people like him. His vision extends beyond personal success to uplifting and uniting communities, creating a healthy and clean environment for all.
