Celebrating International Women’s Day: Honoring Achok Majak and Isabelle Bridges

United States

In honor of International Women’s Day, we celebrate two inspiring women making a global impact on youth empowerment for World Youth Clubs: Achok Majak and Isabelle Bridges. Both are deeply committed to ensuring young people have the resources and support to thrive, aligning perfectly with our mission.

Achok Majak, recently appointed to our Board of Directors, is also our WYC Global Ambassador, international fashion model, and passionate youth advocate. Known for her work with luxury brands like Gucci and Balenciaga, Achok has also dedicated herself to advancing mental health awareness and inclusivity, particularly for marginalized youth. Her leadership has been crucial as WYC expands its global impact, with a strong focus on partnerships supporting teaching and empowerment across regions like California, New York, and Africa. Achok’s work emphasizes racial justice, accountability, and inclusivity. She is also creating spaces for models to breathe, hydrate, eat nourishing food, and receive the support they need, while also learning about optimal health, financial literacy, and navigating contracts, all of which are essential skills in industries that demand so much. Both Isabelle and Achok truly embody the spirit of empowerment that reflects the global social, economic, cultural, and political impact of women’s achievements on this day.

Isabelle, our newest Council Member, is an empowerment coach and bestselling author. As the founder of The Mother’s Empowerment Membership, she brings invaluable insights into family engagement and youth development. Isabelle’s work continues her family’s long-standing legacy of youth advocacy, following in the footsteps of her uncle, Beau Bridges, a founding Board Member of WYC.
