We are excited to announce the very first WYC affiliate in Cameroon, Africa: The Elangwe-Preston Community Youth Center in Limbe! This milestone marks a significant step in expanding our presence in this vibrant country.

The center is a start-up organization that will initially serve 50 youth three days a week, utilizing a church facility they have secured at no cost. With a mission supported entirely by generous donations, the center is staffed by a dedicated team of five professionals and four volunteers, all committed to making a difference.

Elangwe-Preston has established key partnerships to support its mission, beginning with Mbingo Mountain Coffee in Cameroon. This company serves as a vital funder for the initiative, playing a key role in its establishment. In addition, the organization has several U.S.-based supporters, including the Alfond Youth & Community Center (AYCC) in Waterville, Maine, the Global Links (Sister Club) partner for the Cameroon initiative. Others include the Maine Masonic and Waterville Rotary Club, both providing vital financial support.  To expand outreach and further engage the community, Elangwe-Preston is in the process of launching a website and social media channels.
