Empowering Africa’s Future: Launch of the First African Leadership Institute by World Youth Clubs
World Youth Clubs (WYC) recently launched its first ever African Leadership Institute, a groundbreaking event held from September 2nd to September 5th in Kigali, Rwanda. This institute marks a significant milestone as the first of its kind on the African continent, bringing together emerging leaders from ten countries across Africa.
As a global leader in youth development, WYC is committed to enhancing youth organizations by creating safe and supportive environments that empower young people to realize their full potential. The African Leadership Institute aims to enhance leadership skills and promote regional collaboration. Participants engaged in sessions covering essential topics such as program development, community outreach, and strategic fundraising.
Rev. Dr. Jonathan Weaver, President of the PanAfrican Collective at the Weaver School in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, served as the keynote speaker. His insights into regional programming and organizational development were pivotal for attendees. The institute provided a valuable platform for youth professionals to network, exchange best practices, and develop actionable strategies to advance their initiatives.
